Replaced the Windows

We knew we had to replace the glass on one window and that one window frame was broken, so we decided to pull all the windows. Initially we were going to just replace the glass on the broken one, but it turns out no-ne wanted to work on the frames unless we replaced all the glass.

I removed the frames and found two more broken frames, which all went to the metal surgeon for repair. Then I cleaned up and polished all of the window frames, cleaned up the frames on the airstream, and installed the new gaskets from Vintage Trailer supply. We covered the spaced with cardboard until all the frames could be repaired and the glass was replaced.

I could only find two companies who would work on the glass (Cornerstone Glass in Conifer https://www.cornerstoneautoglass.com/ & Edgewater Glass & Mirror https://www.glassandmirror.net/). Edgewater sent me a quote right away, but Cornerstone glass finally called me back20 minutes before, so we went with Cornerstone. The tinted glass was only $150 more, so we decided to get that. They removed all the glass, replaced the glass, and installed all of the front glazing we bought at Vintage Trainer Supply for about $1,300.

I broke one frame while installing it, so The Metal Surgeon took another crack at that one. In the meantime, we installed the frames on in their channels. The retaining clip fit perfectly on the first one, but we could not get it to slide into any of the others, so we just left them out after a frustrating hour trying to get them in.
